EDUCATION THE BEDROCK TO EVERY SOCIETY

It was former British Prime –minister, Mr. Gordon Brown who once said “Education is an empowerment, and there is no empowerment that is more than educational empowerment”.
While speaking at the international summit on education in Washington during the regime as British Prime Minister Mr. Brown highlighted on the need for leaders of different countries of the world to empower their various countries as a way to go. In our society today, anyone who is not educated is regarded as nobody and people do not take whatever he or she said as serious.  As a student, I have come to realize that every aspect of human lives hinges on knowledge, and education as we all are aware is transmissible. It flows from generation to generation, thereby making it a life time thing.
Now that we are in school, there is every need to ensure that one put in the best in terms of education in order to become a better citizen in the society.
The government has a big role to play in this regard, having known the necessary need and importance of education.
First, the government should as a matter of urgency make education something affordable for everyone. This will help in competing favorable with the rest of the people outside the country.
Secondary, in our primary school and post primary levels, government should role out some scholarship schemes and equally make education free in a bid to cushion the ignorant gap that is pervading in our level leaning.
As we all are aware and conversant with the important of education, it is pertinent that everyone must pursue it and succeed in it. The time to be in line to education and declare in ignorance is no other time but now.
